Frequently asked Questions
Do I need to book or pay in advance?
You do not need to book in advance as our weekly Kizomba and Salsa classes are drop-in classes, which means you can come at any time. You can pay for one of our dance classes on the day you attend. If you're excited about making a commitment to your dancing you can also buy 5 classes in advance at a reduced rate on our website or when you next see us in class.
Do I need to bring a partner?
You do not need to bring a partner to our dance classes. The teacher will constantly be rotating partners, so you will dance with all the other students as the class is being taught.
Do I need to wear anything special or have special shoes?
No special clothing or shoes are needed. People who have been dancing a while may own dance shoes but if you are new to dance you should come with shoes you are used to, that fit your feet well. You could always bring a couple pairs if you wanted too. Likewise, wear clothes that allow for comfortable movement.
Do you run courses and when does the next one start?
All our Kizomba and Salsa classes are currently drop-in classes so you can join us at any time, any week. If you miss a week or even a few thats completely fine too, you don't have to wait for a specific time, just join us again when you're available or ready.
What style do you teach?
We currently offer weekly classes in Kizomba and Salsa. Our salsa classes are cross-body style.
Do you offer private tuition?
Yes; we are regularly available for private lessons. Please check our private lessons page and feel free to contact us.
What can I expect from the classes and is the material the same each week?
Our regular Salsa and Kizomba classes cover the fundamental timing, rhythm and steps of the dance each week. You will also learn a new core movement or partner-work every week. This means you will get both the required repetition for a solid foundation in the dance styles as well as progressively growing your dance repertoire week on week.
